In 2008 METALBOLIC RECORDS releases Nepente's debut album, ATONEMENTS, which was mixed and mastered by Jean Francois Dagenais (KATAKLYSM guitarist and a renowned producer who had produced for KATAKLYSM, MALEVOLENT CREATION, EX DEO, and other bands) in his J.F.D. Studios in Canada. In that same year, Nepente also opened for legendary Greek Black Metallist, ROTTING CHRIST, in their home town Manizales. Following which, in 2010, Nepente embarked on their first international tour in Ecuador and Peru. During the tour, Nepente had the honor to perform together with American metal legend, OMEN, in Lima, Peru, and also Brazilian death metal band, KRISIUN, as part of their Colombian tour. In 2011 the band also performed together with the influential black metal band, INQUISITION. In 2012 Nepente enters Ethylic Studios to record their new album, SUFFERING IS THE SEED, which was mixed and mastered in the famous polish studios HERTZ RECORDING STUDIO. In November 2012, Nepente and Sonic Blast Media signed a deal to release their sophomore album, SUFFERING IS THE SEED, on 15th February 2013.
