India's one-man vedic/black metal band, PURVAJA's, is all set to release its debut EP entitled 'DARK GODDESS DIVINE', worldwide on 01st March 2013 through Sonic Blast Media.

Formed in 2011 by founder, Rahul Das, Purvaja (meaning: Primordial) is a one man vedic/black metal act hailing from Hyderabad, India. With influences spawning from various genres of Black metal and Vedic metal music, Purvaja combines elements of Vedic culture, Hindu Philosophy, Mythology and other related theologies into its lyrical theme whilst incorporating a the raw black metal style infused with Indian classical influenced guitar work/drum patterns; to evoke the essence of 'what our ancestors have left behind for us which is slowly becoming oblivion in this modern world.' This is the mission of Purvaja.

In 2006, Rahul Das formed Karmageddon, an early incarnation of Purvaja with similar lyrical and musical style. The band performed a few shows until 2009 and eventually disbanded. Rahul tried to revive the band again with new members but failed. With lack of resources and unable to find like-minded members who were interested in creating vedic style/influenced music, Rahul Das decided to start Purvaja as the sole member. Using whatever resources available (sampled drums, voice recording, electric guitars etc), Purvaja released its first track entitled 'She, who devoured Raktabija' online; which subsequently gained recognition in the Indian underground black metal scene. The success and positive response of 'She, who devoured Raktabija' spurred Rahual Das to write and create more song under the Purvaja moniker. After almost a year, Purvaja finally released its first EP entitled 'DARK GODDESS DIVINE'.

Dark Goddess Divine pays homage to the Hindu deity, Kali, the goddess of destruction and death. Written, composed, produced and performed by Rahul Das, Dark Goddess Divine will be released worldwide on 01st March 2013 via Sonic Blast Media.
